Lizzy Mitchell, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Lizzy Dean grew up in a large catholic family in the Midwest. She has three older brothers, which molded her into the bold, boisterous person she is today. She wanted to become a vet from a young age and finally reached that dream in 2010 when she graduated from Michigan State University with her DVM in 2010.
She started her career in Florida where she completed an internship in surgery, emergency medicine, and regenerative medicine. She moved to Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood in 2011 and still lives there with her husband and two rescue Persian cats. She has “dog fever” and if her landlord hadn’t threatened eviction, she’d have several by now.
Her lifelong hobby has been horseback riding and she currently owns is a paint quarter horse that she uses mostly for trail riding and occasional fox hunting. Don’t worry folks, no foxes are actually hunted, it’s more like motocross on horseback. She also enjoys alpine skiing, wakeboarding, hiking, and running during her free time. She’s run the Rock and Roll half marathon every year since 2012. She loves living and working in the same community.
